I am therefore instructed by His Excellency to request that you will draw the Major General's attention to this fact, with a view to his giving directions that full information of all plans submitted to War Department for the enlargement of the boundaries of the Military Cantonments on the extension of their frontage seawards.
8. It will suffice for this purpose that the officer commanding the Royal Engineers be instructed to show the correspondence and plans in question at his office to the Surveyor General, who will be required to attend there at any time most convenient.
9. This information becomes necessary now, as His Excellency is in hopes that the arrival of Vice Admiral Sir Henry Keppel may afford an opportunity for the Colonel, Military and Naval authorities...
